The Staff were super friendly, helpful and welcoming!

David and me went to this a little and friendly Hotel, from febuary 20 for 5 nights. We booked by Internet from Canada. The room was great, lot of space and clean. Not a commercial room, like in international chain, but simple and intime room exactly what we looking for in Vietnam. Internet for free in the room, smiling team, always help us in this new country. Nguyen Thanh Trung, the manager, help us to find a perfect cruise at the Halong Bay, it was fantastic there too, and he was very helpful all the time. The breakfast was nice, like I told, always smiling people. Try the soup in the morning, nice starter for a day, and so great taste. This hotel was in a small street, but very close to the main roads, stores and tourist attractions. From this hotel, we can walk, no need taxi, just your legs… All in all this was a great place to stay and we would recommend it Remerber : the staff were super friendly, helpful and welcoming. Thank you for all. Pierre Laflamme Montebello, Québec, Canada

Fabulous staff, good rooms-internet, fridges, good price, breakfast included
A five minute walk to Hoan Kiem Lake and central pagodas etc. in Hanoi. Located on a less busy side street just down from the youth hostel. Stayed there a total of 7 days off and on between side trips. Staff is very friendly and accomodating-they arranged all of our side trips to various parts of N. and central Vietnam. We made lasting friends with everyone who worked there. I mean really! a room with two double beds, computer with internet access, a small fridge with water/beer etc. , free breakfast included for a grand total of less than 30$ per day. What a bargoon! We had no worries whatsoever with security or trip and partnership accomodations, transportation, private tours etc. Highly recommended. Great staff, good location
I stayed at the Hanoi Lucky Hotel for more than two weeks, working in Hanoi. The manager is very competent and the staff are very friendly and always helpful. The location is actually ideal, close to everything by foot, yet in an alley and therefore quiet. The rooms are very spacious, and some have large balconies.. Be sure to ask if you arent satisfied, and theyll most likely accomodate you. Great hotel staff!
Hello everyone, Im here to give a review on my experience with Hanoi Lucky II Hotel. I stayed at this hotel for 2 nights and booked a Halong Bay and a Sapa tour with them. The Hotel Manager, Trung, is a very patient (he answered like a million of my incessant questions over email) and an extremely nice man. He ensured our comfort and always was concerned about how our tours went. We were allowed early check in when possible as well. We arrived from Sapa early morning and we were cheerfully greeted by the hotel staff and given rooms to rest and nice warm breakfast. We also left our luggage at the hotel when we were away for our tours and it was safe and at no extra charge. The two rooms that my friends and I stayed in were very comfortable. The comforter is amazing! I wonder what material it is made of! Theres a PC in each room with internet as well. All in all, I am very satisfied with the service Trung and his very friendly team at the hotel. HLB tour - tour operator is called Qoloa tours. Our guide, Duc, is a very nice guy. We had a lot of fun on this trip. We were put on board the Le Tonkin Junk and we were all very comfortable and well fed. The trek up the Cat Ba national park is a MUST DO! Sapa tour - I loved sapa but our assigned guide, Hoay, sucked. He was like mute all the way and barely fulfilled his part as a tour guide. Sure he did walk with us and led us through the tour destinations but he lacked sorely in his part in introducing Sapa and its colourful ethnic groups. He really literally just walked ahead of us and turned around to wait for us while we scramble to catch up. The hotel we stayed at was Golden Hotel and while the room was adequate (nothing to shout about) and the location was okay (Sapa is not that big), the hotel staff was very warm and friendly. There is this particular guy whose name I didnt get, he hugged the guys in my group when we said bye. So nice of him! Hanoi itself has a lot of hotels and such. Hanoi Lucky Hotel IIs location is good enough. Would I recommend my friend to stay there and book tours with them? Yes I will. Will I go aback there again? Definitely! :D Great service at a great price. Trung, if you are reading this, next time I come by, make sure I get a good Sapa guide ok? And a good discount too! Haha! And please send my regards and thanks to your team at Hotel Lucky II. :) Ju Ann & friends from Singapore/Malaysia This review is the subjective opinion of a TripAdvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. http://www.tripadvisor.com/ShowUserReviews-g293924-d1212331-r25842792-Hanoi_Lucky_II_Hotel-Hanoi.html

Great budget hotel, Love it
My husband and I stay there for 3 nights (Feb 23 til Feb 27, 2009). We order a deluxe room for 2 person, and we are very satisfied with USD 30 /night. The hotel room is clean and big. It has 1 double bed and 1 single bed in a room, PC inside with internet connection (even though sometimes the internet doesnt work). The bathroom is clean and hot water is working well. What I like the most from this hotel is the service. Trung (hotel manager) and other staff there are very helpful and have a kind indeed. We order airport transfer, city tour and halong bay 2D/1N tour from the hotel. And everything are great. When we came to the hotel, they give us breakfast (love that crunchy Vietnamese bread, and thank you for a guy that serve our breakfast everyday), then they give us a map of hanoi, and they show us places we can visit or where we can find something to eat, or buy souvenirs. They also inform us where is a money changer that gives us a good rate. Two tumbs up for the location. We can walk to a lot of places of interest, such as : St. Joseph cathedral, hoa kiem lake, ngoc son temple, opera house, old quarter, and dong xuan night market. It makes us save a lot of money. The tour is fine, we love our visit to hanoi. And thanks a lot to Trung, and all the staff there. Hope to see u soon, guys.. (PS : Trung, if u read this comment, please send my gratitude and best regards to all the staff there).
