I had a wonderful time in Hanoi at the Lucky Plaza Hotel (2). We were planning to stay in Lucky 1, but they were full and the website we booked with overbooked. They were so great to hook us up with the slightly more expensive room in Lucky 2. We arrived at 5AM on the train and the receptionist patiently let us in, made us tea and breakfast and was amazingly well-mannered and nice. They even helped to deal with the taxi driver that tried to wrip us off - really superb. They booked our Halong trip without any charges, got super cheap ($98) 3day trip with Galoi tours (I think??) and the hotel sorted everything for us! One of the guys at the front desk even took us shopping so that we wouldnt get wripped off! They were super freindly and well-mannered and we will stay there again in a second if we get the chance! The Hanoi Lucky Hotel is very cheap and worth for money to stay here. The hotel itself located in the heart of Hanoi that is near St.Josept Church. Just 5 minutes to Hoan Kiam Lake, Water Pupprt theater. Arond the hotel,there are a lot of food hawker ,restuarant , massage shop and souvenior shop that you can make you enjoy eating and shopping. The room has private bath room ,hot shower and personal computer that you can surfing internet. The most important thing is that the hotel staff is very friendly and helpful. They will help you in everything you want ex. booking cheap tour. For me,staying here can get a high value. I recommend you to stay here. Saroj T. Best feature is the helpful staff. We booked tours through them and got excellent value, particularly when sharing experiences with others. Luggage could be left whilst on tour (no room charge). Staff ensured that even if tour finished at Hanoi Station (eg SaPa tours) they collected us and returned us to the hotel. Superb Service! Add to that in free room internet, great warm rolls and fried eggs for breakfast. This is a great value hotel. Liked — Located in Old Quarter on the street of hotels/hostels.
