The Hanoi Lucky Hotel is very cheap and worth for money to stay here. The hotel itself located in the heart of Hanoi that is near St.Josept Church. Just 5 minutes to Hoan Kiam Lake, Water Pupprt theater. Arond the hotel,there are a lot of food hawker ,restuarant , massage shop and souvenior shop that you can make you enjoy eating and shopping. The room has private bath room ,hot shower and personal computer that you can surfing internet. The most important thing is that the hotel staff is very friendly and helpful. They will help you in everything you want ex. booking cheap tour. For me,staying here can get a high value. I recommend you to stay here. Saroj T. Like others wrote before, the staff is extremely helpful by making rooms available for you to shower, booking tours with quality and giving you the best tips for shopping, sightseeing and dining. They always had a smile on their faces and Trung was really a great concierge plus the desk girls that were always there for you!! The rooms are very spacious, all have free PC and internet, bathrooms are clean with plenty of hot water. Breakfast was very simple but good. We stayed on the 4th floor, so we had a nice view from our rooms balcony but to walk up 4 floors wasnt easy after a long day out. The locatiion is superb just in the middle of the Old Quarter, with walking distance to the most famous lake of Hanoi- Hoan Kiem and many shopping areas around. More central than this for the price offered its impossible to have!! Some nice places to go in Hanoi are: - Hoan Kiem Lake with the Turtle Tower and the Temple - Opera House - Presidential Palace + Ho Chi Minh House - Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum and walkway just in front - One Pillar Pagoda - History Museum (despite I liked more Saigons Museum) - Temple of Literature - St.Josephs Cathedral - Old Quarter For Halong Bay we preferred a less expensive cruise named Quoc (65USD) instead of Pinta (97USD) and we really had a lot of fun in beautiful Halong Bay, one of the finest places on Earth to visit! We visited the biggest and most beautiful cave there, went to the top of a big rock for great photos, kayaked along a fishing village and a hidden bay without many tourists around, had a great sailing experience around the bay with nice food and great people! For only 25 USD for a 2 person room the Hanoi Lucky hotel is cheap and affordable. With a short 5 minute walk to Hoan Kiem lake, where many shops and restaurants are based around, shopping and food wont be problem. Friendly staff are always around to help you, whether you need assistance with your luggages or directions to wherever you may want to go. The hotel offers reasonably priced transport between the airport and hotel that will ensure a trouble free trip. The rooms are a decent size and many facilities are provided. In each room is a computer with free internet which can be used to book flights and tours or just browsing. For affordable accomodation, good facilities and friendly staff, Hanoi Lucky hotel is the place to stay. Room is tidy and clean . A free computer with XP os in the room , adequate to check you mail . The staff is super friendly and efficient . Trung , the manager went above and beyond the call of duty to help us . He booked a Halong tour for us . He also booked a hotel in Nhatrang and the airline tickets for us . It was like " we asked , he delivered " . The best concierge service we had in Viet nam . Great place .. great location! SUPER friendly staff and suggested the Columbus Cruise junket through their hotel.. the BEST BOAT at Ha Long Bay. SO impressive! GREAT price too. Great food. We arrived early from Sapa and the guy at the front desk gave up HIS room for us to shower while he slept on the floor. Incredible people! Great breakfast too.. bread is so good. BOok with them, cheap and great people and rooms are just fine.
